Neurocinema
Neuroscience meets Filmmaking

In the opinion of Moghadasi “Neurocinema is considered as one of the emerging interdisciplinary sciences and relies on neuroscience discoveries to explore various aspects of the movie effect on the viewer’s brain."

Why does the brain become anxious/stressed?

The brain becomes anxious and stressed through the fight or flight response in the brain. "Fight-or-flight" evolved as a survival mechanism, enabling people and other mammals to react quickly to life-threatening situations.

What calms the brain?

The Amygdala in the brain structure detects stress. While the Prefrontal Cortex controls thoughts and actions. Its main aim is to control the emotional responses to stress by regulating the amygdala. This will then help calm ourselves down.

Biohacking

Biohackers are seeking new ways to enhance brain function, using technology to measure, monitor and analyse aspects of an individual for self-improvement

ASMR
Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response

ASMR is a sensation that some people experience, when watching stimulating videos. The experience involves a tingling sensation around the neck, spreading around across the shoulders and back. This can be explained as a brain massage.

Meditation

Meditation is a useful calming technique and numerous scientific studies have established the power of meditation to relax the body and reduce the impact of stress.
